It would be a nice feature, if script converts uploaded videos to a one format that all platforms (PC,smartphoes, etc.) can play. Meaning only one video file per video. Save drive space...

You could certainly do it fairly easily but the main reason you want at least 2 MP4 files is because HD files have a higher bitrate which can sometimes be too much for to process on a smartphone so AVS generates a secondary file with a lower bitrate / file size for mobile streaming. So, to be effective with only a single file you would have to compromise on the quality.

You can disable FLV and HD, so you will have only ONE video file, that will play on any device. You can set the desired bitrate and resolution, a compromise between quality and space.

I have no HD videos on my site. Only FLV and MP4. Can live with two files, hard drive space is pretty cheap these days anyway.

Thanks

You should get rid of FLV ;) It's outdated, poor quality...

What code I will have to change so all devices see the MP4 videos?

Thanks

In AVS 3.x, you disable FLV and you disable HD. And you will have only mobile-friendly mp4 which will work as SD too.

When you say disable FLV and HD, all I can do is disable the conversion in /siteadmin

Future uploads will be converted only to MP4 and that video will play on all platforms.

Do I have to change any code so the already uploaded videos that has been converted to FLV and MP4, so now only MP4 plays and delete the FLV videos?

Thanks
